LEUCOREA Foundation
Leucorea, which was founded in 1502 as the University of the Electorate of Saxony and named after the Greek for ‘white mountain’, became world-famous thanks to teaching staff like Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon.
Being a place where science and learning take top priority, the 13 meeting rooms of various sizes accommodating up to 490 people altogether are ideal for conferences, seminars and research symposia with a scientific background. The Leucorea is especially attractive thanks to its historical charm combined with high-tech presentation equipment and systems for simultaneous interpreting.
Located in the historical old town, it’s close to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites Luther House and Melanchthon House as well as the main railway station.
